About The Position
5 Star Cares is seeking compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) and Registered Nurses (RNs) for weekend-only night shifts. This role is ideal for nurses seeking a flexible schedule while continuing to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care in a supportive, low-stress environment. Position Details Location: Tampa area Shift: 12-hour nights | 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM Schedule Options: Every weekend (Saturday & Sunday) OR Every other weekend Patient Ratio: 1:6 Why Join 5 Star Cares? Requirements
- Associate Degree or higher in Nursing
- Active Florida LPN or RN license
- Current BLS/CPR certification (AHA or Red Cross)
- Minimum experience requirements:
- 1 year in acute care, home health, hospice, rehab, or hospital setting
- OR 6 months LPN/RN experience plus CNA, DSP, or HHA background (minimum 2 years combined experience)
- Reliable, compassionate, and team-oriented
- Willingness to participate in designated emergency response teams (Team A, B, or C)
- Ability to pass AHCA Level 2 background screening
- Candidates must complete screening through the Care Provider Background Screening Clearinghouse.

Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient assessments and update care plans as needed
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders
- Monitor, document, and report patient conditions accurately
- Collaborate effectively with physicians and interdisciplinary care teams
- Provide education and emotional support to patients and their families
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organized care environment
- Respond to emergencies with professionalism and clinical confidence
