About The Position

- The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) at LIFESTREAM BEHAVIORAL CENTER plays a crucial role in providing high-quality nursing care to patients within the behavioral health setting. Requirements

  • Completion of an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) program.
  • Minimum of one year of experience working as a Licensed Practical Nurse, preferably in a behavioral health setting.
  • Experience in providing nursing care and support to individuals with mental health challenges.
  • Strong understanding of nursing principles, practices, and procedures.
  • Ability to assess patient needs and implement appropriate nursing interventions.
  • Proficient in administering medications and monitoring patient responses.
  • Excellent communication skills for interacting with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to maintain patient confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards.
  • Basic computer skills for documentation and record-keeping purposes.

Responsibilities

  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians, ensuring accurate dosage and timing.
  • Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of individualized patient care plans.
  • Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance.
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care activities and observations.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care and effective communication.
  • Participate in team meetings and contribute to the ongoing improvement of healthcare services.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant healthcare regulations and standards.
  • Maintain a safe and therapeutic environment for patients and staff.
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training to enhance nursing skills and knowledge.
