Legacy Behavioral Health Services is hiring individuals with a passion for making a difference in their community! We are seeking Licensed Practice Nurses (LPN )to work in Valdosta, Georgia. The licensed practice nurse (LPN) is responsible for rendering nursing care to adult, child & adolescent consumers in an outpatient setting in terms of individualized client needs, according to dependent and independent nursing functions and conformance with recognized nursing techniques, procedures, and established standards based on the scope of practical nursing, under the direction/delegation of the registered nurse. The LPN demonstrates basic nursing techniques and procedures following the established medical protocol. Works with medical staff, pharmacy, nursing, and other clinical staff to ensure the highest coordination of services. Assess consumers for mental health needs and fulfill all charting requirements. Completes complex computer-based documentation. Must be able to learn and provide nursing services in accordance with various policies, including State of Georgia, CARF, etc. Communicates information in a clear, concise manner and elicits consumer participation in discussion. All other duties as assigned This position requires: •Must have a current Georgia LPN license. •2 years minimum experience in psychiatric nursing, preferred. •Must be CPR and First Aid certified or to obtain certification. Must be physically able to perform CPR. •Must be proficient in verbal and written communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and critical thinking. •Individuals in this position must be able to maintain confidentiality and comply with HIPAA regulations.
