About The Position

Medcor is looking to hire a LPN or Paramedic on a PRN basis as needed to be a Onsite Health Technician in an employer based occupational health clinic setting in Kansas City MO The work environment is in a modern global pharma facility focusing on occupational health and acuteepisodic care The clinic operates Monday Friday 730am 430pm THIS IS NOT A FULL TIME JOB IT IS PRNCOVERAGE Since this is on an as needed basis there are no guaranteed hours If you have the availability to pick up an occasional shift we invite you to apply The Onsite Health Technician for Medcor will provide excellent primary clinical care in an occupational and urgent care health clinic and will provide supervision and oversight for the Medcor clinic including the allied healthcare staff The positions responsibilities also include collaborative work with the medical and operational leadership at Medcor and with key contacts within the clients corporate structure A typical day in the life of a Onsite Health Technician Participate in daily operations at Medcors on site clinicProvide superior customer service to Medcors client and employeesAssessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcors Evidence Based Medicine protocols known as the Medcor Care Protocols MCPsBuild and maintain internal team relationshipsSupport for onsite employee health and wellness effortsPre employment and post offer screeningsDocumentation of care using state of the art EMR and other toolsCase ManagementMedical chartingOSHA record keeping

Requirements

  • LOVE what you do
  • Have valid licensure for the position in which you are applying
  • Have current CPRBLS
  • Have strong computer and other technology skills navigate cell phones texting fax machines etc as well as familiarity with EMR software
  • Be strong enough to lift a 50lb emergency response bag
  • Possess excellent verbal written communication skills
  • Have a positive and outgoing personality
  • Be willing to go above and beyond just because thats who you are
  • Be passionate about people and giving them the best care humanly possible
  • Be able to have fun

Nice To Haves

  • comfortable working in a worksite clinic environment
  • relevant occupational health experience
  • experience in emergency medicine or critical care

Responsibilities

  • Participate in daily operations at Medcors on site clinic
  • Provide superior customer service to Medcors client and employees
  • Assessment and treatment of workplace injuries and illnesses according to Medcors Evidence Based Medicine protocols known as the Medcor Care Protocols MCPs
  • Build and maintain internal team relationships
  • Support for onsite employee health and wellness efforts

  • Documentation of care using state of the art EMR and other tools
