Assists in minor office procedures and injections, performs patient intake assessments, discharges patients from clinic and procedures, educates patients. Works collaboratively with the Occupational Health team to provide high-quality services with a focus on compliant processes and employer directives. Understanding of government compliance and regulated processes, ensuring work is performed as required by procedural guidelines. Greet patients utilizing patient identifiers and AIDET. Perform all Occupational Health clinical tasks including but not limited to physicals, drug screens, breath alcohol testing, lab draws, vaccinations, medication administration, chart prep, electronic reporting, accurate documentation on paper and in the EMR, processing results, paperwork, faxes, referrals, and other forms required for Occ Health services. Perform charge entry for services provided, with a general knowledge of all services available. Cross Train on front office to perform registration, check-in, and scheduling. Input patient information into the computer. Check patients in and also check patients out by scheduling future appointments or outpatient tests. Answer phones and messages in a timely manner. Strong phone etiquette when speaking with employer representatives or patients. Demonstrates the skills necessary to implement medical plan of care, clinical intervention, and procedures as necessary for the care of the patient. Develop knowledge and awareness of FMCSA and OSHA regulations and established protocols for compliant programs. Labeling, documenting, and tracking all specimens or tests ordered/received following the set standards. Sets up instruments and equipment according to proper protocol and cleans exam rooms between patient visits adhering to infection control/safety guidelines. Detail--Oriented with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness of services, documentation, resulting. Team-Player willing to work in any role within the Occupational Health, and willing to learn and help in Convenient Care.
