Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) work to promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness, improving the health of our community by providing exceptional healthcare. They are advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities. The LPN is integral in linking patients, their families, and their healthcare teams, fostering collaboration amongst all. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • Graduate of Licensed Practical Nurse Educational Program.
  • For OB/GYN department: 2 years clinical OB/GYN experience required.
  • Completion of accredited program for Licensed Practical Nursing.
  • Current LPN license.
  • Ongoing and current BLS.

Nice To Haves

  • 1 year clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Promote health, prevent disease, and help patients cope with illness, improving the health of our community by providing exceptional healthcare.
  • Act as advocates and health educators for patients, families, and communities.
  • Record symptoms, reactions, and progress when providing direct patient care.
  • Assist physicians during treatments and examinations.
  • Administer medications.
  • Assist in convalescence and rehabilitation.
  • Link patients, their families, and their healthcare teams, fostering collaboration amongst all.
  • Provide quality patient-centered care to ensure that patient/family needs are addressed including physical, psychological, social, and spiritual needs.
