JOB DESCRIPTION AND POSITION REQUIREMENTS Scheduled Weekly Hours: 40 Fulltime and PRN positions available! Summary of the Job : To provide medical assistance to the physician/nurse practitioner in a professional manner and to provide for patients in a caring, efficient and compassionate manner. To handle patient phone calls and care of patients in the office. Perform EKG's and CLIA waived test as appropriate.

Requirements

• High School diploma
• Must have good working knowledge of CPT and ICD-10 Coding
• BLS through the American Heart Association required
• Must be able to maintain composure under difficult and stressful conditions
• Must be able to maintain confidentiality and be able to work independently with little supervision
• Displays tact and diplomacy in inter-personal skills
• Keeps BLS Certification current at all times
• LPN: Licensed Practical Nurse diploma from an accredited school. Current Licensed Practical Nursing license. Maintains annual and continuing education credits; keeps license current at all times.
• Medical Assistant: Accredited Medical Assistant Program Certification or equivalent on the job training consisting of 3 or more years. Completion of an accredited medical assistant program preferred.
• Two to five years of experience in a physician office setting preferred

Nice To Haves

• Physician’s office experience preferred
• Experience with EPIC (EMR) a plus along with insurance processes required within a clinical setting
