The Cleveland Clinic Cancer Institute at Weston hospital offers comprehensive hematology and oncology services, including specialized care for blood disorders and cancers, with a focus on patient-centered, collaborative care and innovation. The clinic provides a range of services, including diagnosis, treatment and prevention of blood cancers and related disorders. As an LPN on this team in our Hematology/Oncology Outpatient clinic, you will collaborate with fellow staff to create a welcoming, comfortable environment for patients, families and visitors. You will assist with medication management, patient monitoring, administrative tasks and more. All your work helps ensure the best possible health outcomes. Additionally, you will receive ample opportunities to enhance your skills, gain hands-on experience and explore advanced positions at Cleveland Clinic. This position can be a stepping-stone for future opportunities within other units or departments in the hospital. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

  • Graduate of Accredited LPN program
  • Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
  • Knowledge of infection control practices
  • Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

  • One year of experience in patient care; doctor's office experience of ambulatory
  • Epic experience

Responsibilities

  • Provide professional nursing care to patients.
  • Administer medication.
  • Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
  • Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
  • Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
  • Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
  • Follow Code Blue protocol.
