Job Quick Facts: Specialty: Hematology & Oncology Job Type: Locum Tenens Facility Location: Santa Cruz, CA Service Setting: Outpateint Reason For Coverage: Supplemental Coverage Period: Mar 2, 2026 – ongoing Coverage Type: Clinical Only Shift Schedule: - 8a–5p; Full -time (5 days/week) or Part -time (2–3 days/week) Patient Demographics: Adult oncology/hematology patients Patient Volume: 13–18 patients per day Rounding included: Multidisciplinary inpatient rounds Support Staff: -Nurse navigators -Social workers -Pharmacy liaison -Research coordinators -Genetic counselors -Dedicated RN staff -Anesthesia coverage Case Mix: Hematology and medical oncology Beds in the Dept: 17 -bed inpatient oncology unit EMR: Cerner Other Info: Multidisciplinary cancer program, rapid diagnosis clinic, weekly tumor boards, access to clinical trials and survivorship services Travel, lodging, and malpractice insurance covered
Requirements
- Active CA License
- BC/BE in Hematology and/or Medical Oncology
- BLS
- DEA
- NPDB report ( dated within 30 days of the presentation date.)
