Please note that this position is PRN (As Needed) only. The Community Service Board of Middle Georgia's Crisis Stabilization Unit (CSU) is seeking qualified LPN to join their team! Our LPN’s serve individuals who may be in the midst of a mental health crisis or trouble with substance use, so experience working with different abled individuals and those of diverse populations is critical and highly preferred. The LPN will also be responsible for engaging with assigned families and their formal and informal supports to determine all needs and strengths. The LPN will coordinate with all involved to ensure the individuals progress moves in the right direction, everyone stays informed, and all needs are monitored and progress as needed.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED equivalent
  • Valid Georgia LPN Licensure
  • Valid Georgia Driver’s License
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with diverse communities
  • Ability to work independently and in collaboration with others
  • Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
  • Ability to organize, prioritize and meet deadlines accordingly
  • Physical ability to carry out the duties of the position (which include but are not limited to moving/transporting patients, furniture, driving vehicles, etc.)

Responsibilities

  • Administer prescribed medications as needed
  • Administer TB Skin Test and others as required
  • Compose consume MARS
  • Assists Medical Doctor (MD) or Nurse Practitioner (NP) while on rounds
  • Orders labs as requested from the appropriate providers
  • Ensures that all medications are listed on the medication consent forms and have consumer and rounding provider signatures on a regular basis
  • Answers incoming calls into the clinic and handles the request appropriately, seeking assistance from staff or supervision; if necessary
  • Collect, label and package lab specimens for pickup by lab courier as needed.
  • Documents lab results, notifying the proper medical provider of any critical values and placing lab results in patient charts.
  • Educate consumers on medication given; prior to administering
  • Provides support for all members of the CSU as needed
  • Identify and respond to all emergencies that may arise
  • All other duties as assigned
