About The Position
The office nurse will provide clinical support to the physician as needed and will provide direct nursing care to patients. This role involves performing as a team member and assisting in the administration and maintenance of an efficiently operated clinic. The nurse will accurately perform and document assigned duties under the direction and supervision of the physician, adhering to the medical model of care as provided by the State Board of Nursing. The position also requires initiating the implementation of processes and having access to all operational components of the office, including the physician’s office, medical records, medical supplies, and locked drug closets/refrigerators, as required by daily operations.
Requirements
- LPN/CMA by the state of Virginia
- CPR certified
- Ability to meet physical and mental requirements of a fast paced physician practice
Nice To Haves
- Previous physician office experience preferred
