As an LPN supporting our Joint Replacement physician and two Physician Assistants in Orthopaedic Surgery, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m. or 7:30 a.m. – 4:30 p.m. The primary location for this position is Weston; however, caregivers will be required to travel to the Coral Springs location two days per week.

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA)
• Knowledge of Infection Control Practices
• Experience with technology
• Computer literacy
• Phlebotomy background and able to draw blood

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience
• One year of experience in outpatient setting
• Experience with adult populations
• Experience with EPIC
• Orthopaedic background

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete and accurate documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
