Cleveland Clinic Weston Hospital’s colorectal surgeons are world leaders in treating benign and cancerous diseases of the colon and rectum. We have the largest colorectal surgery center in Florida, and our surgeons have an international reputation for excellence. As an LPN, you will support the practices of two Colorectal surgeons as well as assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works days from 8:00AM – 5:00PM.

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Experience with technology
• Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
• One year of clinical experience
• General or outpatient surgery experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
