As an LPN supporting the Colorectal department, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, high-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you will directly support the practices of two colorectal surgeons while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and the educational resources offered throughout the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this role works days from 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Requirements

• Graduate of Accredited LPN program
• Florida Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Computer literacy

Nice To Haves

• One year of clinical experience
• Outpatient experience
• General surgery experience
• Two years of LPN experience

Responsibilities

• Provide professional nursing care to patients.
• Administer medication.
• Maintain complete, accurate and up-to-date documentation in medical records and files.
• Complete authorization forms and laboratory requisitions.
• Implement pain management assessments and documentation.
• Adhere to the National Patient Safety Goals as outlined by JCAHO.
• Follow Code Blue protocol.
