IMC is currently hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for IMC Behavioral Health , who is responsible for rendering safe nursing care to patients; supervising, directing, and monitoring the nursing care assigned to her/him; administering medications, performing venipuncture, assisting in the supervision and training of CNAs; and performs related duties, and using the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care based on physical, psycho/social, education, safety and related criteria for the pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric population. QUALIFICATIONS: Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing. Current license as a LPN in the state of Louisiana. Must maintain CPR and EDGE certifications Knowledge of the nursing process and nursing principles. Demonstrates knowledge of LA Mental Health Statutes Knowledge of anatomy RESPONSIBILITIES: Demonstrates respect for patients and families. Maintains and protects confidentiality regarding all aspects of patient care Applies the nursing process to each patient and implements nursing actions Identifies patient and family education needs and in collaboration with other disciplines initiates education needs according to the age of the patient. Participates in planning of patients discharge needs and readiness for discharge. Requirements

  • Graduate of an approved LPN school of nursing
