The 4200 Complex Cardiovascular Unit serves a diverse population, with patients recovering from open-heart surgeries, amputations, lung operations, heart attacks and other critical medical concerns As an LPN, you will assist fellow caregivers in providing exceptional, top-quality care to a diverse patient population. In this role, you can make a lasting difference in the lives of patients, all while enhancing your nursing skills through hands-on experience and numerous educational resources offered within the Cleveland Clinic system. A caregiver in this position works nights from 7:00 p.m. – 7:30 a.m. with every other weekend and 3 holidays per year requirements.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program
  • Current Ohio license as a Licensed Practical Nurse
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross

Nice To Haves

  • One year of patient care experience

Responsibilities

  • Collect, document and report patient data and observations.
  • Implement care plans as directed by an RN and contribute to care plan revisions.
  • Administer medications and/or treatments authorized by a provider and observe patients for adverse reactions.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Educate patients and family members.
