This position, LP Detective, involves completing daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs. It requires maintaining positive relationships with Store Management, conducting apprehensions within established policies and guidelines, and communicating with store Associates on damage and shrink initiatives. The role also focuses on identifying and resolving internal and external theft, adhering to established shoplifter guidelines, and providing timely, courteous, and knowledgeable service to customers. The LP Detective promotes a culture of honesty and integrity, maintains confidentiality, observes, apprehends, and/or deters acts of dishonesty from outside sources, and participates in investigations and surveillance. Responsibilities include ensuring apprehensions are consistent with store theft activity, completing and distributing paperwork accurately, maintaining appropriate evidence, understanding law enforcement procedures, and professionally participating in legal activities. The role also coordinates and completes shrink-related activities in partnership with Store Management, adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures, supports store shrink reduction goals and programs, encourages Associate use of shrink reduction resources, and promotes safety awareness.

Responsibilities

Completes the daily tasks required for Store Loss Prevention and safety programs
Maintains positive relationships with Store Management

Maintains appropriate evidence, demonstrates understanding of law enforcement procedures and professionally participates in legal activities as needed (e.g., police calls, etc.)
Coordinates and complete shrink related activities in partnership with Store Management
Adheres to all labor laws, policies, and procedures
Supports and participates in store shrink reduction goals and programs
Encourages Associate use of shrink reduction resources
Promotes safety awareness and supports maintenance of a safe environment
