The Episcopal Academy seeks an experienced and dynamic Lower School Art Teacher to join our vibrant arts faculty. This role is ideal for a passionate educator who values creative exploration, student-centered learning, and collaboration within a thriving PreK–12 independent school community. The Lower School Art Teacher designs and delivers a developmentally appropriate, engaging visual arts program for students in Kindergarten through Grade 5. The ideal candidate fosters curiosity, builds foundational skills, and creates a joyful, studio-based environment centered on exploration, observation, and artistic growth across a range of media, including drawing, painting, clay, and age-appropriate woodworking. The ideal candidate for the Lower School Art Teacher at The Episcopal Academy will possess the following: Bachelor's degree in Studio Art (BFA/BA) or Art Education. An active studio practice and commitment to artistic growth (MFA or MA in Studio Art or related field preferred) Demonstrated experience teaching visual art at the elementary level Strong studio background across a range of media and materials Excellent classroom management skills rooted in warmth, structure, and clear expectations.
