The Lowboy Float Operator (CDL Driver) position involves driving a heavy-duty diesel powered truck with an attached trailer used for hauling heavy equipment. The driver is frequently required to operate heavy equipment for loading and unloading the lowboy.

Requirements

• Class A Commercial Drivers License (minimum)
• Proficiency in English for written and oral communications
• Ability to recognize and understand road signs
• Knowledgeable about and follow the company’s safety policies and procedures as described in the company’s safety manual.

Nice To Haves

• Three or more years related construction experience.

Responsibilities

• Start engines, move throttles, switches, and levers, and depress pedals to operate machines.
• Operate heavy equipment to load or unload the lowboy.
• Take actions to avoid potential hazards and obstructions such as utility lines, other equipment, other workers, and falling objects.
• Service and make necessary adjustments for proper operation of equipment.
• Make necessary adjustment to equipment as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
