About The Position

Schmidt Construction part of the Levy Group of Companies is seeking a Lowboy
Driver to work at our Delta location in Colorado Springs, CO. The Lowboy Driver
operates trucks for the purpose of transporting and delivering various types of
equipment between locations.

Requirements

• Ability to operate tractor trailer and Euclid, loader, haul truck, dozer, and excavator for the purpose of loading onto lowboy
• Experience with heavy haul
• Basic mechanical aptitude
• Valid Driver’s License
• DOT Class A Certification
• Basic Communication skills

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections along with routine greasing, oiling and fueling
• Maneuver vehicle properly load, transport and unload equipment
• Load equipment and process appropriate paperwork
• Communicate with personnel at receiving location to determine off-loading location or obtain special instructions
• Monitor changes in truck performance and reports potential malfunctions to maintenance personnel
• Maintain cleanliness of vehicle
• Maintain records and logs
• Comply with all safety regulations and policies
• Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor
