About The Position

We are currently seeking a Low Voltage Technician (PART TIME) for projects in the Sacramento area. Under general supervision, install, program, maintain and repair, CCT, Security, and fire alarm systems or any component thereof. By consolidating these services under one organization, clients benefit from reduced profit layers, minimized scope gaps, and simplified project schedules—working with a single, accountable partner rather than multiple consultants and subcontractors. Headquartered in Sacramento, California, Mark III operates throughout California and Nevada. Our state-of-the-art manufacturing facility serves as a centralized hub supporting five core trades: HVAC, mechanical piping, plumbing, electrical, and metal-stud framing. To support our continued growth, we will be relocating from our current combined 62,000 square feet of office and operational space to a new 340,000-square-foot headquarters at 2031 Optisolar Lane, with the move planned for completion by the end of Q2 2026. Requirements

  • CCTV, Access and fire alarm experience required
  • Able to read and interpret plans
  • 5+ Years of experience
  • Knowledge of applicable codes and regulations
  • Good verbal communication skills
  • Able to establish and maintain good working relationships with supervisors, peers, and customers.
  • Able to perform physical activities that require considerable use of arms and legs and moving the whole body such as climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, stooping, working at all sort of heights, and crawling in confined spaces.
  • Required to lift objects weighing up to 25lbs
  • Required walking for long and short distances, walking from one worksite to another.
  • Required to perform repetitive motion tasks
  • Required to pull or push using force
  • Required to stand for sustained periods of time
  • Required to bend or twist at the neck and torso
  • Required to crouching, squatting, stooping, kneeling
  • Required to use and climb ladders to work from heights
  • Required to use scissor, boom, and other personnel lifts to access the work area

  • Required to reach forward, grab, grasp, pinching, handle material and tools using upper extremities
  • Required to lift objects from low to high positions in horizontal to vertical motions
  • Required to talk, express, or exchange detailed, important information by means of verbal communication.
  • Constantly Required to hear sounds at normal speaking levels with or without correction. Ability to hear detailed information and distinguish sounds to avoid hazards.
  • Required to have visual acuity to determine the accuracy, neatness, and thoroughness of the work assigned

Responsibilities

  • Inspect fire alarm and sprinkler systems
  • Submit documentation to local AHJ
  • Install, maintain, or repair fire, access, security systems and related equipment following blueprints or electrical layouts and building plans.
  • Test and repair circuits and sensors following wiring and system specifications.
  • Drill holes for wiring in wall studs, joists, ceilings, or floors and feed cables through holes, roof spaces and cavity walls to reach fixture outlets. Position and terminate cables, wires and strapping.
  • Mount and fasten control panels, door and window contacts, sensors, and video cameras and attach electrical and telephone wiring to connect components.
  • Test backup batteries, keypad programming, sirens, and all security devices and their connections to ensure proper functioning and to diagnose malfunctions.
  • Inspect equipment, structures of materials to identify problem causes.
  • Demonstrate systems for customers and explain details.
  • Mount raceways and conduits and fasten wires to wood framing.
  • Inspect installation sites and study work orders, building plans, and installation manuals and project guides to determine materials requirements and installation procedures.
  • Install and trouble CCTV systems, ability to focus and program CCTV equipment
  • Schedule and maintain a routine schedule, update PMs and DMs frequently with pictures, emails, and forms.
