Requirements

  • Technical school completion or minimum 1 year experience
  • Willingness to learn multiple systems
  • Active Illinois PERC card
  • Must have legal authorization to work in the United States.

  • Prior field installation experience

  • Prior experience with Digital Watchdog, Digital Monitoring Product, PDK, Alarm.com, Teamup, Paylocity and Jitbit

Responsibilities

  • System Installation: Perform comprehensive installation, termination, and testing of diverse low-voltage systems, including security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling, and AI, audio/video equipment. This involves meticulous adherence to project specifications.
  • Cable Management: Execute precise routing, securing, dressing, and labeling of all cabling infrastructure. This critical task ensures compliance with stringent safety standards, industry best practices, and quality guidelines, contributing to system integrity, ease of future maintenance, and troubleshooting.
  • Equipment Setup: Professionally mount, install, and configure a wide range of devices such as cameras, card readers, network hardware, intercoms, and various audio/video components. This responsibility includes performing initial power-up sequences, basic programming, and verifying device integration with the overall system architecture.
  • Documentation: Maintain thorough and accurate records of daily work activities, including completed tasks, test results, system configurations, and any installation changes or deviations. This detailed documentation is vital for supervisory reports, project progress tracking, and future troubleshooting.
  • Team Support: Actively assist senior technicians and team leads with various on-site tasks, including material handling, site preparation, tool management, and general support activities. This collaborative effort is essential for ensuring efficient workflow, timely project completion, and fostering a cohesive and productive team.
  • Client Interaction: Maintain a high level of professionalism while representing the company on-site.
