About The Position

This technical position is responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of low voltage systems in our customers’ facilities. Systems include card access, camera, fire alarm, paging, structured cabling, and fiber. Team members must be able to work independently and as part of a team. A safety-first mindset is a must in following our company processes and protocols.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED).
  • Minimum of three years’ experience with electronics and/or low voltage systems.
  • Understanding of the NEC and NFPA code and the ability to apply these standards to the work being performed.

Nice To Haves

  • Obtaining a NICET 1 Certification in Fire Alarm Systems
  • Obtaining a BICSI Copper Certification
  • Possessing an active CPR/First Aid certification, or willing to obtain certification shortly after first day of employment.

Responsibilities

  • Understand circuit types and relay logic, including normally open/closed contacts and series/parallel configurations
  • Interpret technology plans, symbols, and circuit diagrams with confidence
  • Identify and apply end-of-line resistors and system device functions
  • Demonstrate proper routing and organization of system cabling
  • Understand system keypad operation, device operation, and diagnostics
  • Terminate head-end equipment with precision
  • Install cameras, mounts, PoE injectors, and related accessories accurately
  • Apply knowledge of job phase codes to daily tasks
  • Seek feedback to improve actual performance versus estimated/projected hours
  • Submit crew subsistence slips and handle cash responsibilities reliably
