About The Position

The function of this position is to provide reliable, high quality customer support through on-site inspecting, installing, troubleshooting, repairing, and/or replacing low voltage systems as well as conducting preventative maintenance services pertaining to many different manufacturers’ equipment. This position has a salary range of $20.00-$35.00 per hour depending on experience and held licenses.

Requirements

  • It is preferable to have a Journeyman’s License but not necessary with a minimum 3 years of related experience preferably within the life safety industry, apprenticeship is the exception – will train.

  • Must obtain and retain any licenses that are required by state and/or local codes.

  • Stand; walk; sit; twist; use hands to handle; reach with hands and arms; push; pull; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; talk and hear.
  • Use vision abilities including close, distance, peripheral, depth, and color.
  • Work in unusual and sometimes difficult positions/circumstances such as with ladders, scaffolding, high lift equipment, wires, ducts, crawl spaces, attics, above ceilings, etc.
  • Lift, move, and hold up to approximately 50 lbs.
  • Must be able to work a full-time, flexible schedule with “on call availability” and must be able to travel on short notice.
  • Must be able to drive a motor vehicle (day and evenings) for extended time periods.

  • Electronic Trade School training is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Learn/Assist with Installing and programming: Fire protection for low voltage systems for commercial applications (including piping, valves, and accessories). Access Control, CCTV, Intrusion, and Data
  • Document time worked as well as all paperwork relating to assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Must prepare accurate and timely documentation for work performed, complete monthly vehicle reports, and maintain truck inventory to ensure proper response to customers’ needs.
  • Must adhere to company safety policies and procedures.
  • Must communicate effectively - both verbally and in writing.
  • Must ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Must have a strong work ethic.
  • Must be detail oriented.
