Job Summary: The candidate will report to the project manager and take a lead role in the physical installation of low-voltage security systems, focusing on the precise bending of 3/4" EMT conduit and the mounting of devices according to site specifications. Drawing on a strong ability to interpret electrical symbols and technical drawings, the installer will collaborate with team members to ensure all cabling and hardware meet strict safety standards while maintaining accurate as-built documentation for the final system commissioning.

Requirements

Minimum of high school diploma or GED equivalent.
3+ years’ experience with low-voltage security systems or 1 year of low voltage audio or intercom installations experience.
3+ years' experience working as an electrician or electrician's helper to further understand electrical symbols and readings.
3+ years' experience bending EMT 3/4 conduit and/or bending wire.
3+ years' experience working on construction sites or high mechanical environments using your hands to build or install manual or electronic devices.

Nice To Haves

5+ years’ experience with low-voltage security systems or any years of low voltage audio or intercom installations experience.
5+ years' experience working with CCTV, access control experience.
5+ years' experience bending EMT 3/4 conduit and/or bending wire.
3+ year of experience working in the building automation systems or security and life safety industry as an installer.
3+ years’ experience completing electrical hardware instillation ex. Conduit, electrical boxes, stub-ups,
3+ years’ experience completing fire alarm system installation and device cable terminations ex. Horn strobes, speaker strobes, fire alarm panels, booster power supplies
Knowledge of Bluebeam or PlanGrid for viewing and "redlining" digital blueprints on a tablet.
Current Arial Lift certification or other manufacturers certifications.
A working understanding of low voltage DC circuitry including transformers, fuses, breakers, etc.

Responsibilities

Install 3/4 EMT conduit, cabling, and low-voltage security devices.
Work closely with Lead Installers and other team members to ensure that installations meet safety standards and client specifications.
Deliver high-quality construction services that meet or exceed client expectations with understanding of timelines and due dates.
System start-up and troubleshooting, (Fire alarm, EST - Edwards), access control (Avigilon, SoftwareHouse CCure, and Lenel).
Understand construction practices and follow safety protocols diligently.
Use tools and equipment effectively, requiring both technical skills and a commitment to safety.
Attention to detail is critical, as installers must ensure that all materials are installed correctly and meet quality standards.
Fire alarm system installation and device cable terminations ex. Horn strobes, speaker strobes, fire alarm panels, and booster power supplies.
Interpret Bosch Building Technologies and other’s drawings to productively install low-voltage security installations.
Support installation personnel on project sites.
Assist as required troubleshooting efforts during either the static or dynamic start up or commissioning of low-voltage security and special systems.
Provide up-to-date As-built information as required including locations for sensors, panels, database, code, etc.
Having a strong mechanical aptitude makes you a strong candidate for this role.
An understanding of basic computer operation.
An understanding of the construction industry including safety, electrical codes, blueprints, etc.
An ability to understand empathetically the issues and perceptions others have and to creatively and successfully work through these issues to achieve a successful outcome and customer and employee satisfaction.
