About The Position

We are seeking skilled Low Voltage Installers/ helpers/ apprentices to join our team. In this role you will need to be familiar with the equipment and installation of low voltage systems. HCI Systems Inc. is a licensed C-7, C-10 and C-16 low voltage systems integration contractor offering a full spectrum of services including sales, engineering, installation, service, and maintenance with over 600 employees in our seven branches. We offer fire life safety, fire suppression, fire sprinkler, access control, video management, intrusion detection, structured cable, nurse call and other related electronic detection solutions to our customers.

Requirements

  • Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
  • No experience necessary, we train.
  • Applicants must meet requirements in relation to background and driving record.
  • Must be proficient in the use and application of industry related equipment including MS Office.
  • Must have excellent communications skills, using tact and diplomacy when dealing with customers.
  • Regular, reliable, predictable attendance.

Responsibilities

  • Installation of fire life safety and other low voltage systems in medium and large commercial buildings.
  • Responsible for the execution of the installation project plan provided including equipment delivery, trouble shooting, commissioning as well as interface with other trades to successfully complete projects while exceeding customer's expectations.
  • Resolve field problems through research of multiple alternatives.
  • Communicate and effectively interact with other contractors and building owners.
  • Read and interpret blueprints, diagrams, submittals, specifications, software/systems programs, schematics, and operational product manuals.
  • Conduit bending
