About The Position

The Sales Porter is responsible for supporting the sales department by maintaining the appearance, organization, and readiness of new and pre-owned vehicles. This role ensures vehicles are clean, properly displayed, and available for customer test drives, contributing to a positive customer experience consistent with Volkswagen brand standards.

Requirements

Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
Ability to drive both automatic and manual transmission vehicles
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Ability to stand, walk, and move vehicles for extended periods
Dependable, punctual, and team-oriented attitude
Basic knowledge of vehicle operation
Time management and multitasking ability
Strong work ethic and positive attitude
Customer-focused mindset
Ability to follow directions and dealership processes

Nice To Haves

Previous dealership or porter experience preferred, but not required

Responsibilities

Move and park vehicles on the lot to maintain an organized and attractive display
Prepare vehicles for customer test drives, including fueling, cleaning, and staging
Wash, vacuum, and detail vehicles as needed
Ensure all vehicles are properly tagged, priced, and merchandised
Assist sales consultants with vehicle delivery preparation
Perform routine inspections and report damage or maintenance needs
Keep lot, showroom, and delivery areas clean and presentable
Support vehicle inventory management, including receiving new vehicles
Drive vehicles to and from service, body shop, or off-site locations as required
Follow all dealership safety policies and procedures
