POSITION OVERVIEW The Lot Attendant is charged with moving trucks and organizing the lot to ensure smooth and efficient traffic flow through the facility, increase customer convenience, and maintain an orderly service area.

Requirements

  • Valid Driver’s License (CDL required)

Responsibilities

  • Assist Service Advisors by greeting customers on the drive and moving vehicles through the lot as quickly as possible.
  • Install disposable seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and tags in all vehicles taken in for service.
  • Inspect for and record on the repair order any vehicle damage present when the vehicle is taken in for service.
  • Drive vehicles from the service lane to their proper places in the service parking lot. Vehicles must be moved from the Service Drive in a timely manner.
  • Deliver the keys and repair order hard copies as instructed by the Service Manager after parking a vehicle in the service parking lot.
  • Make sure all vehicles in the service parking lot are kept locked and that all windows are rolled up.
  • Assist in moving disabled vehicles in or around the Service Department.
  • Retrieve customer vehicles from the parking lot when their bill is paid or as directed by the Cashier.
  • Inspect each vehicle for lot damage that may have been done during the vehicle’s stay in the Service Department. Report any damage to management immediately.
  • Prior to returning a completed vehicle to a customer, remove the seat covers, steering wheel covers, floor mats, and I.D. tabs installed when the vehicle was taken in for service.
  • Inspect the vehicle for grease spots or any other stains or debris that the Service Department may have left and clean them up immediately using the materials and techniques specified by management.
  • When delivering completed vehicles to their owners, thank them in a friendly and courteous manner and let them know that their business is appreciated.
  • Maintain the parking lot in a neat and organized manner and keep the parking areas free of debris at all times. Continuously rearrange vehicles for easy accessibility.
  • Performs general cleaning and janitorial duties in the common areas of the facilities.
  • Performs limited grounds maintenance such as trimming hedges and cleaning sidewalks.
  • Other duties as assigned by management.
