About The Position
The Loss Prevention officer is responsible for ensuring the safety and security of personnel, property, and inventory within a dynamic distribution and light manufacturing facility. This role plays a critical part in minimizing loss, enforcing company policies, and maintaining a secure working environment during the afternoon and evening shift end times.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional security or law enforcement training preferred.
- 2+ years of experience in loss prevention, security, or related field (preferably in a warehouse or manufacturing environment).
- Familiarity with security systems and emergency response procedures.
- Strong observational and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under pressure.
- Availability to work afternoon to evening shifts, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Responsibilities
- Monitor facility access points to prevent unauthorized entry or exit.
- Conduct routine patrols of the warehouse, manufacturing areas, and perimeter.
- Investigate incidents involving theft, or suspicious activity.
- Operate and monitor surveillance systems (CCTV, access control, alarm systems).
- Collaborate with operations and HR teams to enforce safety and security protocols.
- Respond to emergencies, including fire alarms, medical incidents, and security breaches.
- Maintain detailed incident reports and logs.
