About The Position

The Manager of Loss Prevention, Facilities, and Employee Health & Safety is a leadership role dedicated to protecting our facilities, our assets, and, most importantly, our people. You will lead the strategy for minimizing inventory shrinkage and security risks while championing a holistic safety culture that ensures physical, psychological, and cultural well-being for every team member. The role will supervisor our Loss Prevention team and work with our maintenance team and outside vendors to minimize loss while maintaining building facilities.

  • 5–7 years of progressive experience in Safety, Loss Prevention, or Risk Management, preferably in a large-scale distribution or retail environment.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Criminal Justice, Business, or a related field.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, HRIS/Payroll systems (UKG preferred) and security/ safety incident management software.
  • Ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into "business-speak" for the executive team and "people-speak" for the warehouse floor.
  • Strong communication skills, especially related to training team members
  • Ability to work on a flexible schedule based on department or company needs.

Nice To Haves

  • OSHA 10, ASP, CSP, or CPP certifications are preferred, but may be substituted with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute audits to identify and reduce inventory loss within high-volume distribution environments.
  • Oversee the facility’s security infrastructure, including CCTV, access control, alarm monitoring and automated visitor management systems (e.g., Vizito Kiosks).
  • Lead internal investigations regarding theft, fraud, or policy violations with total professional discretion, confidentiality, and integrity.
  • Conduct regular inspections and audits to ensure building integrity and the safety of logistics operations.
  • Supervises loss prevention associates
  • Monitors loss prevention and facilities associates’ compliance to policies and procedures while at their assigned post or while conducting duties as assigned.
  • Ensures proper operation of CCTV equipment, monitoring and cameras.
  • Drives the company "Ensure Safety" value by fostering an environment where team members feel safe to report risks, share ideas, and admit mistakes without fear of judgment or retaliation.
  • Coordinates and oversees safety committees’ meetings, minutes and follow up.
  • Ensure 100% compliance with OSHA and state regulations.
  • Participates in all OSHA and Insurance company safety audits and inspections.
  • Oversee the delivery of learning opportunities and safety training modules via our JJ Keller Safety Management suite.
  • Develop and conducts weekly Power Industrial Truck (PIT) safety training
  • Analyze accident trends and near-misses to implement corrective actions.
  • Partner with HR to manage workers' compensation claims with a focus on "Return to Work" programs.
  • Maintains OSHA 300 Log and documentation
  • Is knowledgeable and maintains HazCom program and Safety Data Sheets
  • Supervises emergency service response to on-site incidents, accidents, and alarms.
  • Enforces company policy relating to security and fire protection.
  • Investigates incidents, accidents and offenses that affect the assets an team members.
  • Inspects and maintains all fire suppression systems and equipment. Ensures that all equipment is functioning properly and reports any discrepancies that may affect the proper operation of equipment to the management and building owner.
  • Maintains all common area management including working with building owners on landscaping, snow removal, and life safety systems.
  • Responsible for coordinating preventative maintenance, and repairs to HVAC, Fire safety, Electrical, plumbing systems and general building maintenance in conjunction with the building owner.
  • Oversees the cleaning contract for administrative and DC areas.
  • Monitors and maintains Gem One/Sapphire PIT precertification program in conjunction with DC management.
  • Leads and investigates all Power Industrial Trucks (PIT) accidents in accordance with PIT Review Committee and company standards.
  • Able to operate and certify training on all PIT’s including scissor lifts.
  • Designs solutions, configures systems, and trains peers and end users on systems to ensure 100% conformity to use.
  • Oversees the process documentation for areas of responsibility with SOPS.
  • Maintains budgetary compliance and is able to explain variances when necessary.
  • Work alongside DC Leadership and Sales teams to ensure that safety and LP protocols support, rather than hinder, operational efficiency.
  • Considered the Safety Officer for the company.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
