About The Position

The Loss Mitigation Intake Coordinator plays a key role in supporting borrowers experiencing financial hardship. This position is responsible for managing the initial intake process for loss mitigation requests, ensuring applications are complete, compliant, and processed in accordance with investor guidelines and federal regulations. The role is fast-paced, detail-oriented, and highly repetitive, requiring strong organizational skills and the ability to manage a high volume of daily communications.

Requirements

  • Prior experience handling loss mitigation, loan servicing, or mortgage-related documentation
  • Ability to manage high-volume, repetitive work while meeting strict deadlines
  • Understanding of RESPA / Regulation X requirements
  • Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy (including proper I5 documentation)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Excel
  • Quick learner who thrives in a fast-paced environment

Responsibilities

  • Manage a high volume of borrower emails related to loss mitigation requests, appeals, and complaints
  • Initiate and process loss mitigation requests, including retention reviews and payment deferrals
  • Gather, review, and validate financial and supporting documentation to create complete loan workout packages within required timelines
  • Ensure compliance with investor, insurer, state, federal, CFPB, and National Servicing Standards guidelines
  • Enter and upload documents into the BLITZ/AIQ document repository and properly update internal tracking systems
  • Follow up on outstanding documentation or issues to ensure timely decisioning
  • Provide exceptional customer service by responding promptly and professionally to borrower inquiries
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of borrower interactions and documentation
  • Support front desk duties, including monthly bulk mailings and specialized mailing campaigns
  • Work closely with a small team (approximately 4 members) to ensure smooth and efficient operations
