Requirements

  • Working knowledge of Loss Mitigation and RESPA / Regulation X
  • Experience handling high-volume email workflows
  • Strong understanding of loan workout or mitigation processes
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly repetitive, deadline-driven environment
  • Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Highly organized with sharp attention to detail

Nice To Haves

  • Prior mortgage servicing or investor guideline experience
  • Familiarity with document repositories or servicing systems

Responsibilities

  • Manage high-volume borrower and collections emails
  • Initiate and process loss mitigation requests, appeals, and complaints
  • Review and gather financial and supporting documentation to complete loan workout packages
  • Identify request types and route work to the correct internal departments
  • Conduct retention reviews and payment deferrals
  • Enter and upload documents into BLITZ/AIQ
  • Ensure files meet investor guidelines, CFPB standards, and Regulation X (RESPA)
  • Accurately document and maintain internal tracking (I5)
  • Follow up on outstanding items to meet strict deadlines
  • Deliver professional, empathetic customer service to borrowers in financial distress
  • Support front-desk duties such as bulk and specialty mailings as needed
