About The Position

RI Teacher Certification - Secondary Science Grades 7-12 Prepares and implements well-organized curricula in which students are engaged in relevant, thoughtful, challenging work. Differentiates instruction based on the needs of each student. Establishes a learning environment of high expectations that supports students Employs techniques that encourage critical thinking and problem solving. Uses a variety of current technologies to enhance instruction and to advance students’ technological literacy. Uses various methods of assessment; uses data to plan instruction. Supports students’ social, emotional and academic growth. Defines, communicates, and upholds acceptable standards of student behavior and develops open communication, mutual respect, and rapport with students. Communicates effectively with colleagues, parents and other school community members. Keeps accurate records and completes all tasks in a timely manner. Demonstrates appropriate depth of knowledge in subject matter. Maintains student confidentiality. Models the behavior and expectations of our school community. Other duties and tasks as assigned by the building principal.
