The Baker Center for Children and Families (also known as Judge Baker Children's Center), promotes the best possible mental health of children and families through the integration of research, intervention, training, and policy. The Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist (OT) provides individualized treatment, leads small classroom-based groups, and conducts pre-vocational Life Skills activities for students with social emotional, behavioral, and learning challenges. The Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist delivers trauma informed care through direct interventions in self-regulation, sensory processing, fine and gross motor skills, executive functioning, and self-care, to maximize student participation in academic and daily activities. The Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist maintains a small caseload and work as part of a dedicated OT Department. The Long-Term Substitute Occupational Therapist provides coverage when the assigned Occupational Therapist is absent for one or more days; including long-term coverage periods. What's in it for me?
