About The Position

The Brackett Elementary School is looking for a substitute music teacher from late March through the end of school year in June 2026. The substitute will work collaboratively in a team of highly motivated and dedicated Brackett School and K-12 Performing Arts Department educators. The successful candidate exhibits dynamic interpersonal skills to motivate and engage students, and can maintain and enhance enthusiastic engagement in music-making in a safe, supportive, and student-centered environment. A strong background in the major elementary classroom music methodologies (First Steps), singing, and elementary level repertoire and materials is preferred.
