About The Position

Long-Term Substitute Grade 6 Science Teacher To support Barrington's commitment to diversity and to foster inclusion, respect, and equity in education, the successful candidate will be selected from a diverse pool of candidates. Preference will be given to candidates who articulate their commitment to valuing inclusivity, diversity, and belonging. Provides daily instruction aligned with the district curriculum and supports students' academic and social-emotional needs. Responsibilities include delivering engaging science lessons, managing the classroom environment, assessing student learning, maintaining communication with families, and collaborating with grade-level and support staff. The substitute ensures continuity of learning during the teacher’s extended absence and upholds all school policies and expectations.
