About The Position

The Role This role is responsible for leading strategic network design analyses and driving cost-effective, data-driven solutions across the GM CCA Logistics network. This position will serve as a key contributor within the CCA Logistics Value Optimization team and will collaborate cross-functionally with Supply Chain, Warehousing, IT, and other enterprise stakeholders. The ideal candidate will possess strong quantitative skills, experience in advanced analytics and visualization tools and a proven ability to manage complex projects from concept through execution. This is a critical role focused on continuous improvement, logistics value optimization, and providing recommendations to senior leadership for long-term impact.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of relevant work experience in logistics, supply chain analytics, network optimization or related.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Data Analytics, Operations Research, Industrial Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Expertise in Power BI for dashboarding and data storytelling.
  • Demonstrated success managing and delivering cross-functional supply chain projects.
  • Ability to interpret large, complex data sets to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
  • Proven ability to influence stakeholders across technical and business functions.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with SQL, VBA, or other analytical programming tools.
  • Master’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience with advanced network design tools (Coupa, Appian, etc).
  • Database Information Experience: SQL, Cloud (Databricks), Oracle, SQL Server, Hadoop, Knime, ETL.
  • Knowledge of logistics finance principles and cost modeling.
  • Experience in greenfield analysis and network transformation projects.
  • Knowledge of end-to-end supply chain operations: warehousing, transportation, inventory management, fulfillment, and supplier performance.

Responsibilities

  • Lead strategic logistics network design projects and "what-if" simulations to improve cost, service, quality and efficiency.
  • Perform deep-dive data analytics using Power BI, SQL, and statistical tools to uncover actionable insights across product flows, warehousing, transportation, and inventory.
  • Generate cost savings and customer improvement initiatives based on advanced analytics and modeling.
  • Manage cross-functional projects from ideation through implementation, ensuring alignment with both technical and business objectives.
  • Serve as a subject matter expert (SME) for logistics systems, network modeling tools (e.g., Coupa, Appian), and overall Supply Chain and Warehousing best practices.
  • Collaborate with IT and business owners to prioritize, develop, and implement system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Create dynamic dashboards, reports, and models to support senior leadership decision-making.
  • Drive continuous improvement through KPI monitoring, root cause analysis, and cross-functional value stream optimization.
  • Balance current-state constraints with future-state design in developing scalable, innovative supply chain solutions.
