About The Position

The Logistics Team Member II receives, stores, and distributes material, tools, equipment, and products based on internal customer needs.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED)
  • 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Intermediate computer skills & Intermediate skills with Microsoft programs

Responsibilities

  • Ability to create a safe work area following all safety rules & procedures; focuses on safety of self
  • Support and participate in 5S activities in area
  • Read production schedule, customer order, work order, shipping order, or requisition to determine items to be moved, gathered, or distributed
  • Convey materials and items from receiving or production areas to storage or to other designated areas
  • Sort and place materials or items on racks, shelves, or in bins according to predetermined sequence such as size, type, style, color, or product code
  • Sort and store material in a first-in, first-out (FIFO) basis
  • Fill requisition, work order, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items and distribute items to production workers or assembly line
  • Assemble customer orders from stock and place orders on pallets or shelves; convey orders to packing station or shipping department
  • Personal desire / value to produce quality work; focus inventory accuracy of your own material movements
  • Mark materials with identifying information
  • Open bales, crates, and other containers
  • Record amounts of materials or items received or distributed
  • Learn process area according to training plan; adaptable to change assignments
  • Accept and adhere to process changes; making improvement ideas to help department
  • Weigh or count items for distribution within plant to ensure conformance to company standards
  • Arrange stock parts in specified sequence for assembly by other workers
  • Use computer to enter records
  • Compile worksheets or tickets from customer specifications
  • Contribute to team to meet production goals
  • Work constructively with fellow team members in a diverse environment
  • Drive vehicle to transport stored items from warehouse to plant or to pick up items from several locations for shipment
  • Complete requisition forms to order supplies from other plant departments
  • Prepare parcels for mailing
  • Maintain inventory records
  • Safely expedite the transport of hazardous materials and waste, from accumulation sites within strict regulation requirements
  • Inspect, weigh, load, document, transport of hazardous materials and waste through shipping and receiving documents, bill of lading, and manifests
  • Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste
  • And all other duties as assigned
