SAIC is currently hiring for a Logistics Support in Indianapolis, IN. This position is full time and in person.

Requirements

  • High school degree with five (5) years of experience.
  • Procurement or accounting experience required.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Excellent Microsoft Office experience.
  • Materials management
  • Customer focused
  • Cash handling
  • Shipping/Receiving
  • No security clearance is required but must be able to pass a background screen.
  • US Citizenship required.

Responsibilities

  • Researching and identifying potential suppliers, assessing their quality, reliability, and pricing.
  • Preparing and processing purchase orders, requisitions, bids, and allocating bank statements.
  • Building and maintaining strong, long-term relationships with suppliers.
  • Generate and maintain reports on material status, inventory levels, and production records. This includes compiling weekly status reports and ensuring compliance with procurement requirements.
  • Oversee receiving, and distribution of materials to ensure that production processes run smoothly.
  • Work closely with various departments, including production, logistics and engineering to coordinate the efficient flow of materials and ensure that all departments have the necessary resources.
  • Prepare and manage shipping schedules, evaluate production schedules and determine material requirements to ensure availability.
  • Integrates learning from customers, competitors, operating entities, distribution, transportation, customer service, other industries, industry groups, and professional training to continuously improve competitive position.
