About The Position

SAIC is looking for a Logistics Support Specialist to plan, develop and implement programs to coordinate physical distribution, order fulfillment, inventory management and control, and contract management activities. This position is located at our US Navy customer’s location at the NAVWAR Old Town Campus in San Diego, CA. SAIC accepts applications on an ongoing basis and there is no deadline. Requirements

  • High School and two (2) years or more related experience.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Must have an Active Secret Clearance
  • Forklift Experience / Ability to obtain Forklift License.
  • Operates forklift, pallet jack, utility cart, and various warehouse tools and equipment.
  • Ability to lift 50+ LBS repeatedly.

Responsibilities

  • Receives, inventories, and stores incoming material/equipment delivered to customer receiving department.
  • Inspects incoming material for conformity to packing slips/purchase orders.
  • Reports discrepancies/damages to appropriate authority.
  • Assists in maintaining a well-organized database of packing slips, invoices, DD-1149s, and work orders.
  • Assist with manages accuracy and organization of physical warehouse inventory both in person and through US Navy customer web based databases.
  • Regularly assist with inventory reconciliations & audits.
  • Responsible for maintaining warehouse workspace and storage locations in a clean, safe, and orderly condition.
  • Prepares shipments of outgoing material based off detailed work order instruction.
  • Boxes, wraps, packs, and otherwise prepares packages and pallets of goods for shipping.
  • Assists in the delivery/distribution of incoming material to computer lab.
