About The Position

Responsible for daily operation of store room and shipping department. The scope of this position includes: leadership of associates in daily tasks, continuous improvement, coordinating with planning and marketing for priorities, and ensuring that the company ships to plan in a controlled manner.

Requirements

Five years’ experience in a manufacturing environment, with three years’ experience in a logistics supervisory position preferred.
Proficient in Windows applications including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
Strong communication and leadership skills, with open and honest communication
Ability to work under time constraints and action orientated
Strong process improvement and problem solving skills.
Gathering department data, preparing presentations and speaking publicly
Take ownership for their performance and for their team’s performance
Results oriented

Nice To Haves

Associates Degree preferred.
Experience in automotive and/or aerospace preferred.

Responsibilities

Daily operation of central stores and shipping departments.
Aligning resources with demands on daily basis. Develop associate work schedules to support. Limit overtime while meeting demands of the business.
Filling in where necessary to ensure smooth product flow.
Continuous improvement, specifically restructuring physical flow and application of technology as appropriate to eliminate waste, mistakes, and improve product flow.
Working in conjunction with materials planning and marketing to ensure that priorities are set and executed.
Supporting all production departments with timely delivery of kits and working with production supervisors to ensure needs are met.
Supporting MRO needs of all associates as necessary.
Work with transportation providers to develop efficient pickup schedules.
Follow up and corrective action for shipping/kitting errors.
FOD and ESD control improvement.
Associate safety.
