Requirements

  • Working knowledge of ERP systems with strong preference on SAP
  • Working knowledge of all aspects of warehouse and distribution management, including safety and OSHA regulations.
  • Solid understanding & use of Microsoft Office suite, including Word, Excel, and associated systems.
  • Six Sigma/LEAN experience, preferably in a distribution/warehouse/logistics center environment.
  • Analytical skills to include problem identification and resolution.
  • Extensive knowledge of scheduling & pull systems (Kanban, sequence management, packaging, supermarket, product flow, etc.).
  • Ability to apply resourcefulness and creativity to solve space problems and department activities (Pick-pack-ship, custom packaging, storage of spare parts, increase productivity, etc.)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse, logistics, or manufacturing operations.
  • Ability to frequently lift, push and pull up to 50lb weight unassisted
  • Stand and walk for a full 8-hour shift
  • Comfortable with climbing, balancing, and noisy environments
  • Wear all required PPE and follow safety protocols

  • Experience implementing LEAN a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Communicate effectively with production and quality teams to ensure smooth transfer of finished goods from the production floor to warehouse and loading docks.
  • Oversee systems for product and raw material inventory, including delivery schedules, transport costs, and performance metrics.
  • Ensure effective control of transportation, warehousing, and stock management processes.
  • Maintain structures to monitor the flow of goods and materials across all shifts.
  • smooth transfer of finished goods from the production floor to warehouse and loading docks.
  • Analyze logistical challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Motivate, coach, and supervise warehouse team members across all shifts.
  • Serve as a communication conduit between all three shifts.
  • Monitor quality, quantity, cost, and efficiency of goods movement and storage.
  • Lead waste reduction and efficiency programs for pallets, stock rotation, and storage.
  • Uphold safe working practices, GMP, hygiene standards, and OSHA compliance.
  • Coordinate cycle counts and stock audits.
  • Ensure proper maintenance of warehouse equipment, including scissor lifts, LGVs, and forklifts.
  • Oversee staff hiring, training, coaching, discipline, and performance reviews.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned to support warehouse operations.
