About The Position

The Logistics Specialist executes day-to-day freight operations across brokerage and cross-dock networks. This role is responsible for accurate load entry, shipment tracking, carrier communication, and billing support to ensure efficient and compliant freight movement. Key Responsibilities: Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned.

Requirements

• Past customer service experience is an advantage

• Responsible and dependable with the willingness to learn
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-location environment with competing priorities
• Ability to speak, read, and write English proficiently
• 1-3+ years of transportation, logistics, or brokerage experience (3+ preferred) with strong knowledge of load lifecycle management and brokerage workflows.
• Ability to sit and type at a computer station for prolonged period of time.
• Cross-dock environment with exposure to warehouse and yard operations.
• Ability to operate/use multiline style telephone.
• Ability to lift up to 10 lbs.
• Must be able to execute all the above functions and meet all the above demands safely, posing no threat to themselves or those around them while doing so, and must willingly comply with applicable safety regulations in the completion of all work.

Responsibilities

• Support loads from creation through delivery and invoicing (BOL, POD, documentation)
• Perform high-volume data entry in TMS/AS400 systems
• Track shipments and provide status updates
• Source, vet and manage carrier capacity in alignment with brokerage standards
• Communicate with carriers and customers to resolve issues
• Execute carrier onboarding and compliance verification
• Validate accessorial charges and end of load obligations
• Assist with billing, invoicing, and reconciliation
