Position Summary We are looking for a Logistics Specialist for planning, coordinating, and optimizing inbound and outbound movement of heavy components, raw materials, and finished industrial equipment to support our manufacturing operations. This role ensures seamless support for production lines by managing material availability, minimizing disruptions, and driving continuous improvements in cost, efficiency, and service levels while maintaining compliance with all applicable regulations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain management, Logistics, Operations or related field.
  • 7+ years of logistics or supply chain experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, Harmonic Tariff Scheme (HTS) classification, Country of Origin (COO) documentation and Incoterms
  • Experience managing carriers and negotiating freight contracts
  • Proficiency with ERP systems, especially SAP
  • Advanced Excel and data analysis skills
  • Proven ability to manage complex, time-sensitive logistics operations
  • Experience with international manufacturing supply chains

Responsibilities

  • Oversee end-to-end logistics processes, including procurement of inbound materials, transportation coordination, and outbound shipping/distribution of finished products
  • Manage relationships and coordinate with suppliers, carriers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, third-party logistics providers and internal teams to ensure timely material availability and resolve shortages or delays
  • Oversee domestic and international shipments, including customs clearance and compliance with transportation regulations, duties and tariffs
  • Negotiate rates and contracts with transportation providers (truck, ocean, air, parcel) and third-party logistics (3PL) partners
  • Monitor shipment performance, resolve escalations, implement corrective actions and identify cost-reduction opportunities
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to lead time reduction, and on-time delivery
  • Develop and maintain logistics related KPIs, dashboards, and performance reports
