About The Position

The Logistics Specialist will support portfolio managers with logistics and inventory management for Maritime and Air Life Support Equipment (MALSE) within the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise. This role involves assisting with the integration and sustainment of MALSE systems to ensure operational, training, logistics, and maintenance compatibility within the broader NSW mission. Key responsibilities include supporting the planning, coordination, and implementation of policies and doctrine related to life cycle sustainment for air, maritime survival, and other NSW equipment. The specialist will also assist in developing and executing various logistics support documents such as Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSPs), material fielding plans, maintenance concepts, and Interim Support Plans (ISPs). Monitoring contract execution, tracking product delivery, managing obsolete equipment disposition, and overseeing service levels are also part of the role. The position requires supporting life cycle operations and inventory management using Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) tools, maintaining equipment allowances, and providing input for property accountability using Automatic Information Technology (AIT) systems. Coordination with various agencies like NAVICP, NAVSEA, and DLA for equipment outfitting/requisition is essential. The specialist will inspect command compliance with life cycle support plans and inventory control processes and provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support across all Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements, including product support management, sustaining engineering, supply support, maintenance planning, PHS&T, technical data, support equipment, training, manpower, facilities, and computer resource support. Effective communication is crucial while assisting with inventory, classification, reporting, and maintenance activities.

Requirements

  • Three (3) years’ experience working within the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM) Enterprise within the Maintenance & Logistics Directorate (N4) or Requirements (N8) Departments providing ILS support.
  • Five (5) years’ collective experience working integrated logistic supports functions to include the areas of: Provisioning; 3 M Maintenance; Sustainment Planning; Contracts; Disposal Process (DEMIL, FMS, CMP, IGS).
  • Five (5) years’ experience adjudicating logistics related documentation including: TM, MFP; CMP; LCSP; MOA/MOU/EAA; SOW/WP; Integration Manuals; Interface Control Documents; Basis of Issue Plans.
  • Currently hold and maintain an active Secret Clearance.

Responsibilities

  • Support portfolio managers with logistics and inventory management for Maritime and Air Life Support Equipment (MALSE).
  • Assist with integrating and sustaining MALSE systems within the broader NSW mission, ensuring operational, training, logistics, and maintenance compatibility.
  • Support planning, coordination, and implementation of policies and doctrine related to life cycle sustainment for air, maritime survival, and related NSW equipment.
  • Assist in developing and executing Life Cycle Support Plans (LCSPs), material fielding plans, maintenance concepts, Interim Support Plans (ISPs), and similar logistics support documents.
  • Monitor execution of contract spend plans, track product delivery timelines, quantities, destinations, acceptance testing, and disposition of obsolete equipment, and monitor service levels throughout the fiscal year.
  • Support life cycle operations and inventory management using Accountable Property System of Record (APSR) tools, property book records, and maintenance management systems.
  • Maintain and validate equipment allowances for diving and and other NSW assets.
  • Provide and monitor input for property accountability of Plant Property and Equipment (PP&E) using Automatic Information Technology (AIT) systems, and coordinate equipment outfitting/requisition with NAVICP, NAVSEA, DLA, and other agencies.
  • Assist with inspecting command compliance with life cycle support plans and inventory control processes.
  • Provide SME support across Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) elements, including product support management, sustaining engineering, supply support, maintenance planning, PHS&T, technical data, support equipment, training, manpower, facilities, and computer resource support.
