The Logistics Specialist is responsible for coordinating and overseeing DME orders from placement, serving as the primary contact for customer service, the commercial team, operations, and warehouse shipping staff to ensure accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Customer orientation and the ability to adapt and respond to requests in a timely manner.
  • Ability to work in a cross-collaborative team environment, improving synergy and productivity.
  • Prior experience and exposure to HIPAA compliance.
  • Proficient in MS Office applications and ability to learn department and job-specific software systems.
  • Familiar with ERP systems and practices.
  • Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectively.
  • Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills and solution-oriented.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.

Nice To Haves

  • 5+ years of experience in the DME/Healthcare/Med Device industry

Responsibilities

  • Act as a liaison between the Customer Service department, Shipping, Operations, Manufacturing, and Commercial to facilitate the timely and accurate fulfillment of DME orders.
  • Monitor field and distribution center inventory levels.
  • Coordinate delivery times and dates with carriers and customer service/end users.
  • Assist in managing delivery changes or reroutes per Customer Service requests.
  • Engage in inventory availability discussions with customer service and warehouse operations.
  • Manage FCR fulfillment selection for all orders, ensuring smooth order delivery.
  • Provide the completed packing slips to the appropriate departments for payment and timely invoicing.
  • Develop written procedures for customer service and product fulfillment.
  • Assist the materials department with monthly inventory counts as needed.
  • Work with Quality Assurance to process returned materials when needed.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to optimize shipping processes and ensure efficient order fulfillment.
