Logistics Specialist III (Deployable)
About The Position

As a Logistics Specialist III, you prepare our logistics documentation to assist in establishing the pipeline for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals needed are available to be deployed and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. The ISR (Intelligence, Surveillance & Reconnaissance), Aviation, and Security (IAS) business area is a leader in ISR and aviation, it is a leading prime manned and unmanned aircraft systems integrator for innovative, high-performance ISR and aviation systems. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent and typically 4 or more years of relevant experience
- A higher level degree may substitute for experience
- Related experience may be considered in lieu of required education
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills
- Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques
- Progressive experience with inventory databases
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Successfully pass a pre-deployment medical assessment
- Current/ valid passport and be able to obtain a visa to travel internationally
- Ability to meet current DoD and Combatant Command restriction requirements for deployed locations
- Ability to deploy for a minimum of 90 days to various OCONUS operating locations
- Must be willing and able to work extended hours, holidays and shift schedules as required
- A United States Government Security Clearance is required for employment. Applicants who do not currently have a USG security clearance are welcome to apply and, if selected, will be processed for a USG security clearance by SNC prior to employment. Employment will begin once the USG security clearance is granted. If applicant is unable to obtain USG security clearance, the offer of employment will be withdrawn.
- U.S. Citizenship status is required as this position needs an active U.S. Security Clearance for employment. Non-U.S. Citizens may not be eligible to obtain a security clearance.
Nice To Haves
- Familiarity with BSI or AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems
- HazMat Training/Certification
- Ability to operate a Forklift
- Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS
- Current Driver's License and clean driving record
- Understanding of Shelf Life
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military
