Logistics Specialist III
About The Position

As a Logistics Specialist III, you prepare our logistics documentation to assist in establishing the pipeline for spares, tools, test equipment, materials, and related manuals needed are available to be deployed and stocked. You'll be responsible for routing, documenting, and coordinating shipping logistics, maintaining our records of equipment, components, repair parts and related manuals, and tracking logistics materials and parts for proper allocation of our storage facilities. You'll ensure shipping activities adhere to state, federal, and global regulations and import/export requirements. Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent.
- 3+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
- Higher level relevant degree may substitute for experience.
- Advanced knowledge of state, federal, and global regulations related to logistics.
- Microsoft Word and Excel skills.
- Understanding and experience with the practical application of Inventory and Supply Chain/Logistics principles and techniques.
- Progressive experience with inventory databases.
Nice To Haves
- Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
- Expert proficiency in logistics software and tools.
- Familiarity with AvPro or similar aviation maintenance tracking systems.
- HazMat Training/Certification.
- Ability to operate a forklift.
- Experience with shipping databases, such as FedEx, DHL, UPS.
- Current Commercial Driver's License (CDL) and clean driving record.
- Understanding of shelf life.
- Background in the Aerospace and Defense Industry, the US Department of Defense or US Military.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage complex logistics projects, including preparation, documentation, and routing of materials.
- Develop and implement strategic logistics plans to optimize efficiency and compliance.
- Analyze and maintain records of equipment, components, repair parts, and related manuals.
- Oversee and improve the allocation and organization of storage facilities for logistics materials.
- Ensure strict compliance with import/export requirements.
- Coordinate with senior internal and external stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials.
- Mentor and provide leadership to Logistics Specialist I and II.
