About The Position

The Logistics Specialist I will ensure that our product distribution processes operate smoothly and efficiently across global markets. This position will play a crucial role in troubleshooting logistical issues and will act as a liaison between various departments including Supply Chain, Production, Sales, Accounting and Customer Service.

Requirements

  • Must have a Bachelor’s Degree in Logistics, Supply Chain, Business Administration or a related field.
  • Must have 1 to 2 years of experience in international logistics or international supply chain management, preferably within the manufacturing sector.
  • Must be able to manage time-critical shipments and respond quickly to customs delays or regulatory issues.
  • Knowledge of import/export regulations, customs procedures, and trade compliance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to manage relationships with diverse stakeholders.
  • Proficient with MS Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook).
  • Must be able to pass a background check, drug test and a reference check.

Nice To Haves

  • Prior experience navigating through ERP/purchasing software a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of domestic and international shipping logistics including import and export documentation and work with U.S. custom brokers to ensure timely clearance of shipments and compliance with all Customs and Border Protection (CBP) regulations.
  • Coordinate and manage all aspects of international outbound logistics including coordinating cross functionally to ensure all paperwork and processes are followed for compliant import of FBD product into other countries.
  • Expedite, monitor and manage inbound and outbound shipments, resolving discrepancies and delays.
  • Assist with U.S. Duty Drawback claims, including collection of required documentation, data validation, and coordination with customs brokers or drawback specialists.
  • Collaborate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers and internal teams to ensure timely delivery of goods.
  • Maintain and provide Harmonized Traffic Schedules (HTS) codes for current and new parts as part of the ECO process in the IFS ERP system.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve carrier and customs invoice discrepancies.
  • File claims with carriers on damaged and lost shipments and follow up for timely resolution.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation related to shipments, customs clearance, logistics operations, and support drawback audits.
  • Perform other duties as needed and assigned.
