About The Position

For example, storing and delivering delicate flowers and fresh ingredients to local stores for everyday lunches and family celebrations. At Kuehne+Nagel, our work truly contributes to more than we imagine. ā€Ž The Logistics Site Supervisor has general responsibility for coordinating and supervising all warehouse activities and team members on a daily basis. Under the direction of the Warehouse Operations Manager, the Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for supervising the receiving, warehousing and shipping of product in a manner consistent with company service and cost objectives.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 2-5+ years of warehouse or distribution center experience, with at least 1 year in a supervisory or lead role.
  • Proven experience managing inbound and outbound operations (receiving, picking, packing, shipping).
  • Strong working knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control processes.
  • Demonstrated experience applying FIFO (First In, First Out) inventory practices and Standard Operating Procedure compliance.
  • Experience supervising hourly associates in a fast-paced, high-volume, 24/7 warehouse environment.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Experience tracking and reviewing operational, safety, and productivity metrics.
  • Ability to complete accurate reports and documentation to support continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee inbound and outbound warehouse operations, including receiving, unloading, picking, packing, staging, and shipping
  • Ensure shipment accuracy, proper documentation, inventory integrity, and damage-free handling of all products.
  • Manage and assign work schedules to maximize productivity and ensure timely task completion in a 24/7 operation.
  • Enforce FIFO inventory practices, housekeeping standards, and adherence to SOPs across the shop floor.
  • Ensure safe and efficient use of material handling equipment and maintain a clean, organized warehouse environment.
  • Promote and enforce safety, security, and compliance with OSHA, MSDS, and Kuehne + Nagel QSHE standards.
  • Monitor operational, safety, security, and performance metrics on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis.
  • Complete accurate records, reports, and documentation to support continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Support inventory control processes, including cycle counts and physical inventories.
  • Partner with Warehouse and Operations Managers on productivity, workforce planning, and continuous improvement/lean initiatives.
  • Lead daily warehouse meetings and communicate clear performance expectations and goals.
  • Support associate training, development, and engagement while fostering a positive, employee-centered workplace.
  • Maintain high standards in a high-value, high-security warehouse environment.
  • Provide flexible leadership support, including nights, weekends, holidays, on-call coverage, and special projects as required.
